Fixin System

Fixin’s unique locking mechanism ensures fracture stability while avoiding pressure on the bone, preserving vascularity and accelerating the return of mobility and function. After fixing the locking screws in a FIXIN plate an angular stable system is created, which is similar to an external fixator from a mechanical point of view and quite different from a traditional screw-plate system, which relies on friction between the plate and the bone to maintain the angle of the screw.
Because of these unique mechanical properties, FIXIN plates provide a new and original osteosynthesis technique for effective and stable fixation of fractures.

Series

The 1.3-1.7 series (micro), developed for small dogs up to 3-4 Kg and cats, accommodates 1.3-1.7 mm screws that fit the micro bushing. This series of plates has small holes that fit 1.0 mm K-wires for temporary stabilization.
The 1.9-2.5 series (mini),
developed for small dogs up to 10 Kg and cats, accommodates 1.9 mm and 2.5 mm screws that fit the same bushing (same screw-heads therefore same screwdriver). This series of plates has small holes that fit 1.2 mm K-wires for temporary stabilization.
The 3.0-3.5-4.0 series (small),
developed for medium, large and giant dogs, accommodates 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 mm screws that fit the silver bushing (same screw-heads therefore same screwdriver). This series of plates has small holes that fit 1.2 mm K-wires for temporary stabilization.
